Interprete della commedia all’italiana e famosa per la padronanza del palcoscenico e del grande schermo, Franca Valeri è stata una delle principali protagoniste della dolce vita.
Nata a Milano, la sua carriera cinematografica decolla nel 1950 con Luci di varietà, film di Federico Fellini e Alberto Lattuada.
Dopo aver affiancato importati attori e registi, quali Alberto Sordi, Vittorio de Sica e Sophia Loren, si dedica alla fine degli anni 80 e inizio 90 alla regia di opere liriche, sua grande passione.

A staple of Italian comedy and famous for her mastery of both stage and cinema, Franca Valeri was one of the main characters of 'La Dolce Vita'. Born in Milan, her cinematographic career started off in 1950 when she played a part in 'Luci di varietà', a movie by Federico Fellini and Alberto Lattuada.
Between the end of 1980s and the beginning of 1990s, whilst working alongside important actors and directors, such as Alberto Sordi, Vittorio De Sica and Sophia Loren, she devoted herself to directing lyrical operas, one of her biggest passion
