Lot Essay

The present Daytona is a very well-preserved example of a reference 116519, offered with its guarantee card stamped F.LLI PISA, via Montenapoleone, Milano. Of particular interest, this chronograph is bestowed by the Italian flag, discretely placed on the dial of the wristwatch. A very unusual occurrence, this personalization has been done by the Rolex retailer PISA Orologeria and provider for the Inter Milan football club and gifted to individuals close to the team.

Reference 116519 was launched at the 2000 Baselworld, equipped with the new-generation of self-winding chronograph movement – calibre 4130 – entirely designed and manufactured in-house. Incorporating innovative and patented technical solutions, this high-performance movement has set a new standard for luxury self-winding chronographs in terms of robustness, reliability, efficiency and precision, as well as ease of maintenance.
