The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of wear, minor abrasions throughout the gold from wear. Fitted with clip backs for non-pierced ears and silicon elements for comfort to wear.
- Additional marks: mark meaning ‘Sans Garantie Du Gouvernement’ (No Government Guarantee) on articles made in France (Sté SGDG), unidentifiable maker’s mark (horizontal lozenge: JS, symbol: a kind of greek cross).
- Diamonds: approximate total diamond weight of earrings: 2.0-3.0 carats. A few minor surface-reaching, bright and lively.
- Sapphires: approximate total sapphire weight of earrings: 13.0-16.5 carats. With typical inclusions, a few surface-reaching and minor chips.
- Emeralds: approximate total emerald weight of earrings: 12.5-15.0 carats. With typical inclusions, a few surface-reaching and minor chips.
- Rubies: approximate total ruby weight of earrings: 11.5-14.5 carats. With typical inclusions, a few surface-reaching and minor chips.
