The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition: fair. Shows severe signs of wear, commensurate with age. With scratches and abrasions throughout gold. Clasp in the form of a turning screw, traces of old restorations.
- Sapphires on foil and sapphires: chips and cracks at surface.
- Enamel: in fair condition, some scratches and lack of material.
