The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of wear, commensurate with age. Several abrasions throughout the silver-gilt and gold from wear, gilding has completely disappeared in some places, some tarnish traces. Fitted with a single and secured pinstem clipback.
- Diamonds: approximate total diamond weight of brooch: 12.0-15.5 carats. On average I to J color, SI1 to SI2 clarity, a few minor surface-reaching and chips, bright and lively. Some tiny diamonds are missing.
- Colored sapphire: total colored sapphire weight of brooch: 7.5-9.5 carats. With typical inclusions, a few minor surface-reaching and chips at the junction of the table's facets and at the girdle.
