The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition: fair. Shows severe signs of wear, commensurate with age. With scratches and abrasions throughout gold, severe oxidation stains. Brooch fitted with a single pinstem clipback. Two pearl flowers on a spring system on either side of the brooch.
- Emeralds: with typical inclusions, chips and cracks at surface.
- Sapphires on foil: chips and cracks at surface. Some gems deficients.
- Ruby: with typical inclusions, chips and cracks at surface. One ruby deficient.
- Natural pearls: of white bodycolor, good luster. With some typical blemishes and some lack of nacre and scratches at surface. Drilled.
- White stones: with chips and cracks at surface.
- Enamel: in fair condition, some scratches and lack of material.
