Literature
Marlene Dietrich, legendary actress and fashion icon, was renowned for her unique style, blending feminine glamour with masculine elegance. She often wore her personal jewelry in her films. Marlene had a bracelet of this exact design, it reputedly was a gift from her close friend Erich Maria Remarque, author of All Quiet on the Western Front.

Dietrich first met Remarque in Venice in the late 1930s, and their enduring friendship grew stronger as she helped him emigrate to the United States in 1939. According to her family, Remarque chose this design for its lapis, a stone Dietrich adored, and its bold gold links, which complemented her affinity for masculine-inspired styles.
