The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of wear, with abrasions throughout gold. Opening on a mirror and two compartments (one with three compartments opening through a small door, one of which contains a lipstick tube (the other is missing). Fitted with a push lock. The handle system is missing.
- Additional marks: MD.
- Mirror: fair condition, commensurate with age. With slightly loose in frame, but secure. With small scratch to surface, near center of mirror. Several age stains.
- Enamel: in fair condition, several scratches and lack of material at surface.
- Horn: in very good condition, very minor scratches at surface.
- Diamonds: bright and lively. Some diamonds deficients.
