The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

-Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of wear with minor abrasions throughout gold. Opening on two rectangular compartments, a lipstick tube and a mirror. Fitted with a push lock.
- Mirror: very minor scratches, not near center of mirror.
- Jade: in good condition, with scratches and minor cracks at surface.
- Enamel: in fair condition, scratches at surface, losses of enamel. Enamel is very damaged at the corners of the vanity.
- Sapphires: with typical inclusions, cracks and chips at surface.
- Diamonds: bright and lovely.
