Strength and Sensuality

Felines, blending grace and power, have been a major source of inspiration in jewelry. Particularly, the panther carries strong symbolism, embodying the duality of strength and feminine sensuality.

Germaine Boivin, a cat enthusiast and wife of René Boivin, was instrumental in the creation of jewelry inspired by felines. In 1958, she initiated this venture by suggesting to Juliette Moutard to design a brooch representing a "Siamese cat."

The ensemble offered for sale, designed by Marie-Caroline De Brosses in 1980, is a unique model. The sapphires used for the eyes of the jewel were specifically chosen to meet the request of a loyal client of the House, matching the blue hue of her eyes. This notably marks the first public presentation of the matching earrings for this 'Panthère Head' set, adding an even more exceptional dimension to this remarkable piece.
