The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of wear, minor abrasions throughout the gold and platinum from wear. Tarnish traces on gold. Each clip fitted with a double pinstem clipback. Pinstems are slightly twisted.
- Additional marks: 750, import mark for Christie's Switzerland (hammer), © 63, OR (on the smallest clip). DEPOSE, SSM (on the largest clip).
- Diamonds: approximate total diamond weight of smallest clip: 0.1-0.5 carats; approximate total diamond weight of largest clip: 0.3-0.5 carats. Approximate total diamond weight of both clips: 0.5-1.0 carats. A few minor surface-reaching, bright and lively.
- Emeralds: approximate total emerald weight of both clips: 0.05-0.2 carats. With typical inclusions, a few surface-reaching and chips.
- Onyx: a few surface-reaching and chips. Heavy lack of material on the largest clip.
