The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas. Not lined. Not varnished. Minor frame abrasion with small associated paint losses at the corners. Some fine lines of craquelure in places. A small pressure mark from the reverse towards the lower left corner. A small paint loss in the leaves towards the right edge and two or three tiny pinpoint losses in places. Minor surface dirt. Examined under ultra-violet light: there is evidence of possible retouching to the aforementioned craquelure on the figure's chin, neck, and a further small spot on her right leg.

Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
