A Cottage at Thuxton, Norfolk

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There is a dirty and discoloured varnish, this picture would benefit from a clean. There is also some surface cracking.

The canvas is unlined and is onits original stretcher, which is providing good support.

There appear to be a few minor areas of retouching to the figures and the dog and a couple of the sheep in the foreground, as well as the foliage to the left of the two central figures. There is a thick layer of discloured varnish, which makes further reading of the canvas difficult.

The frame is in a composite, swept frame, which has numerous chips and losses.
