The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
These candelabra are in 'country house' condition. There are inevitable minor scratches, marks, wear, abrasions and areas of discolouration overall, consistent with age and handling. The drops wtih some losses and replacements, and they are mostly quite bent out of shape. Some nozzles are quite bent and a couple have casting flaws and some associated loss where the metal is very thin. Soldered joins to the branches. As catalogued, the branches are associated to the figures and bases and have old drilled holes to the base, implying that they were electrified at some point, or joined to something else in a different way. Glue/adhesive deposits at the join of one head and the candelabra branches. The same candelabrum with misshapen branches. The gilding to the base sections rubbed and worn, and with tarnishing, dust and dirt deposits. The marble bases discoloured. Some chips to the edges of the black marble/slate bases.
