The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Marks clear; maker's mark not always legible on the knives handles.
Light wear to the engraved crest. The teaspoon with mark of William Eley and William Fearn dated 1806 is lacking the engraving.
Some scratching and nicks consistent with age and use. Some nicks to the tines, one tine very slightly bent inwards. Light wear to the rims of the spoon bowls. One teaspoon with two pin dents in bowl.
One table knife with loose handle that would need refitting and small bruise to the handle.
The cheese knives with engraving worn, not always legible, some bruising; four with dents to the end of the handles, of which three have a split.
