The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Good overall condition.
The ebonised wood surfaces present with instances of handling wear, mostly concentrated on the edges of the backrests and the bottom of the legs, and have been previously refinished. A few small chips scattered and some light scuffs. The backrest of one chair presents with some hairline cracks, inherent to the aging process of the wood. All consistent with age and use. The cane set have been replaced at a later date.

Bon état général.
Les surfaces en bois noirci présentent quelques traces d'usure d'usage, concentrées le long des arêtes des dossiers et aux extremités des pieds, et ont été précédemment re-teintées. Quelques petits éclats épars et quelques légères égratignures sur les pieds. Le dossier d'une chaise présente quelques légères fissures, inhérentes au vieillissement naturel du bois. L'ensemble cohérent avec le temps et l'usage. Les assises cannées ont été remplacées à une date ultérieure.
