The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Hinged at the upper corners on the reverse to the mat backing with Japan paper. Upper and left edges deckled. Lower edge uneven. Compression to the upper corners and the lower left corner. 1 inch paper loss to the lower right edge and a smaller one to the center upper edge. A 1⁷⁄₈ inch long paper fill to the left upper edge. A few additional nicks and creases to the edges in places. Light-stained and mat-stained. A few pinpoints of foxing in places. Old adhesive residue stains to the upper and lower left quadrants on the reverse, as well as a few inscriptions in pen and pencil. Colours are fresh. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
