The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Hinged at the upper corners on the reverse with Japan paper to a supporting paper sheet, itself hinged at the upper corners on the reverse with Japan paper to the mat-backing. Light-stained. A few points and pinpoints of foxing in places. Two small 'U-shaped' expertly repaired tears to the upper right corner; a small 'O-shaped' repaired tear below the center upper edge; a filled puncture to the upper left edge; a minute expertly repaired tear to the center left edge and a few additional fills and repairs to the lower corners.
