The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
All sheets loose expect the biggest one, which is mounted at the edges on the reverse to a free paper window. All with at least one deckled, uneven or perforated edge. All light-stained and some mat-stained. Most with a few points or pinpoints of foxing. One or two with some staining or minor scuff marks in places. Most with minor handling creases. The smallest with a hard vertical crease at the center of the sheet. Most with one or more compressed corners. A few with minor nicks and paper losses at the edges in places. One with old Japan paper hinges at the upper corners on the reverse. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the works are in overall good condition.
