La datation de '1913' (en bas à droite), bien que de la main de l'artiste semble erronée et ajoutée a posteriori. La présente œuvre a en effet été reprise pour l'album de coloriage Premiers paysages, Les Leçons des choses du petit coloriste, publié à Paris en 1911. La présente œuvre fut donc peinte lors du passage du peintre à Saint-Tropez en 1906.

The date '1913' (lower right), seems to be by the artist's hand, yet it is incorrecto and was added at a later date, given that Denis travelled to Loctudy in 1894. The present work was used in the colouring book Premiers paysages, Les Leçons des choses du petit coloriste, published in Paris in 1911. The present work was painted during the painter's visit in Saint-Tropez in 1906.
