The work is in overall good and stable condition. Canvas appears loose in the frame. Buckling is noted along the right and left edges of the canvas running vertically. Stretcher bar marks with associated cracking and slight losses are noted running horizontally along the upper edge and across the center of the canvas. Ultraviolet light examination reveals scattered spots of inpainting, noted in the upper right quadrant and along the upper left edge. Some areas of inpainting are also noted in the lower right and lower left quadrants. The painting has been treated with a protective varnish. The work is relined.
