The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is in overall good and stable condition. Stable loose threads and minor areas of fraying are noted throughout. Surface soiling and discoloration are noted throughout. Some rippling of the embroidered areas is also noted. The reverse of the work exhibits evidence of wood damage. Scuffs and abrasions as well as losses are noted along the edges of the work. Thread loss is noted scattered in areas throughout. Ultraviolet light examination reveals some small areas of inpainting along the edges of the work. No further apparent condition issues are noted.
