The present scene is centered around the Virgin Mary, draped in a deep blue mantle, tenderly holding the Christ Child, who embraces Saint John the Baptist as a child. To her side, Saint Joseph, dressed in his characteristic brown and blue garments, holds a lily staff, symbolizing his purity. In the foreground, a lamb, a traditional allegory of Christ’s sacrifice, reinforces the theological depth of the composition. A small altar with fruits and a cross inscribed with Ecce Agnus (Latin for "Behold the Lamb") further alludes to Christ’s Passion.

The meticulous detail in the floral elements, the softness in the rendering of faces, and the delicate luminosity of the scene are hallmark features of the Cuzco School and Diego Quispe Tito, whose influence is clearly evident in this painting. The technical execution and iconography align with the most refined tradition of 18th-century Cuzco painting, establishing this piece as an outstanding testament to the artistic splendor of the Viceroyalty period.
