The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas is treated with a protective varnish with occasional small spots of unevenness. Mild frame abrasions, faint stretcher bar impressions, tiny losses and pinpoint accretions are to the edges. Craquelure with associated stable pinpoint losses are scattered. Repairs are scattered to the reverse. Visible under ultraviolet light, minute spots of inpainting are scattered.
