The work is in overall good and stable condition. Scattered stable craquelure is noted throughout. Abrasions are noted on the edges of the work. Scattered areas of raised cracking are present. Some bucking is noted along the figure's right leg. Stretcher bar marks are present running along the edges of the canvas. Ultraviolet light examination reveals areas of inpainting throughout, most notably in the upper right quadrant, on the figure's right arm and above the left wing. Another area of inpainting is noted on the figure's left leg. No other condition issues are noted. The painting is relined and wax lined.
