The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is in overall good and stable condition. Craquelure is noted throughout the work with associated tenting and pinpoint losses. The edges of the work are slightly abraded and the upper edge of the canvas is frayed. Stretcher bar marks are present along all edges of the work. A possible repair is noted in the upper right quadrant, 6 inches from the upper edge and 7 inches from the right edge, with associated lifting. Ultraviolet light examination reveals scattered areas of inpainting throughout. The work is relined.
