The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work was not inspected outside of its wooden strip-frame, which is attached with nails to the side edges of the canvas. Stable networks of hairline craquelure and tiny accretions are scattered. A small accretion is to the center lower edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
