The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work was not inspected outside of its wooden frame, which is attached with nails to the reverse of the canvas. Mild wear is to the turning edges, most notably to the corner-tips. Tiny losses are scattered. Stable hairline craquelure is to the upper left quadrant, in the light brown painted passage. Visible under ultraviolet light, tiny spots of inpainting are to the edges, with a few additional pinpoints scattered throughout.
