The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work was not inspected outside of its wooden strip frame, which is attached with nails to the side edges of the canvas. The side edges are covered with tape and faint tension cracking is to the turning edges. A mild stretcher bar impression is to the lower edge, and a short hairline crack is to the center lower edge. A minute loss is near the upper right corner on the wooden element. Visible under ultraviolet light, a few minute spots of inpainting are to the lower edge.
