The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work was not inspected outside of its wooden frame, which is attached with nails to the side edges of the canvas. The side edges of the canvas are covered with tape. Mild wear is to the extreme edges, and stable pinpoint losses and tiny accretions are occasional. Stable hairline craquelure is to the black painted passages. A mild layer of surface dust is present. A small drip accretion is to the center left, in a yellow painted passage. Faint tiny drip accretions are to the lower right quadrant. Visible under ultraviolet light, a few small spots of inpainting are to the upper register, in a green painted passage.
