The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is in overall good condition. Under ultraviolet light inspection inpainting noticed around the edges of the canvas. The original canvas support has been relined to reinforce the painting. Very minute tears are noted located 17 inches from left upper edge; another 27 inches from left and 3 inches from upper edge; and very slight ones around the contours of the face. No other condition issues noted.
