The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work exhibits scuffing along the edges. Two repairs are noted with associated inpainting,approximately 7 inches from the upper edge and 14 inches from the right edge and 22 inches from the upper edge and 12 inches from the right edge. The canvas exhibits hairline cracks noted particularly in the white background area and scattered in the upper right quadrant, along the edges, and in the upper center left as well as in a few areas in the figure's hat. Overall slight discoloration or surface soiling noted along the white edges of the canvas. No other apparent condition problems to note under UV light inspection.
