The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is superficial loss in the centre. There are abrasions in places, predominantly in the centre right. There are indent craquelures in the upper and lower centre. There are craquelures visible in places, predominantly along the extreme edges. There are few minor paint losses in places. There are some surface irregularities in places, coherent with the artist's working process. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting.
