The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

Exterior exhibits dents, marks, there are some losses to the canvas, wooden slats appear to have been sandblasted and varnished, still they exhibit dents and marks. The lozine trim exhibits prominent patina, dents and cracks. The leather closure strap is missing. Hardware appears to have been cleaned and polished, still it exhibits scratches and dents.

Interior exhibits humidity stains, wear and tear to the lining, as well as cracks and marks. The upper top lid appears to have been restored and the ribbon is a later replacement.
