The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

1. Exterior exhibits prominent patina, significant creasing and cracks, wear to the corners, straps holding the leather handles on each side appears to have been replaced, there are some losses to the canvas. The lozine trim covering the hinges appears to have been replaced. The leather closure strap is missing. Hardware appears to have been cleaned and polished, still it exhibits light scratches and marks.
Interior is incomplete, it exhibits humidity stains, and marks, it appears to have been partially restored.

2. Exterior exhibits prominent patina, cracks, scratches, wear and tear to the leather, wear to the corners, there are some significant losses to the leather on the bottom. The wooden slats appears to have been added. The leather to the handle exhibits cracks, dryness and creasing. Hardware exhibits oxidation.
Interior exhibits significant humidity stains, wear and tear to the lining, swelling due to humidity, visible kraft, one cotton strap is missing.
