The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

1. Exterior exhibits significant dents, marks and scratches, wear to the corners. The lozine trim exhibits prominent patina, dents and losses. There are faded initials "E.H.E 71" on one side. The leather on the handle exhibits dryness and creasing. Hardware exhibits oxidation, scratches and verdigris. It appears that the initials have been repainted.
Interior exhibits stains and marks.

2. Exterior exhibits dents, scratches and marks, visible wear to the canvas covering the hinges. The lozine trim and corners exhibits prominent patina, dents, and dryness. Initials are slightly faded. The leather on the handles exhibits dryness and creasing. The leather closure strap is missing. Hardware exhibits oxidation and scratches.
Interior is incomplete, it appears to have been restored, still it exhibits humidity stains and marks.
