The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

Exterior exhibits dents, marks and scratches, there are vertical cracks on the top lid, visible wear to the canvas covering the hinges, there are some minor losses to the canvas. The wooden slats appear to have been sandblasted. The lozine trim exhibits significant cracks and marks. The leather to the handles exhibits dryness and cracks. The leather closure strap is missing. Hardware appears to have been cleaned and polished, still it exhibits dents and marks.

Interior is incomplete, it exhibits light marks and stains, studs exhibits some verdigris.
