There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

Exterior exhibits significant overall discoloration, cracks, scratches and holes, visible wear to the canvas covering the hinges and on the top lid, canvas exhibits general wrinkling. The lozine trim exhibits prominent patina, dents and cracks. The leather to the handles exhibits dryness and creasing. Hardware appears to have been cleaned and polished, still it exhibits dents, pitting and marks.

Interior exhibits humidity stains, wear and tear to the canvas lining. It appears that the interior upper lid has been restored.
