The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

Exterior exhibits light marks, wear and tear to canvas on hinges, prominent patina to the lozine, cracks and minor losses, losses to the painted green stripe on top lid.

Interior exhibits marks, humidity stains, pink coton ribbon might be after market, metal brass appears to have been cleaned, front lock appears more recent, interior is incomplete, one tray is missing.
