Ormolu-mounts : As stated in the catalogue, the mounts are later.
There are some minor dents, rubbing and some signs of tarnishing.
Secrétaire : there is a shrinkage crack to the upper part of the left side (approx. : 7cm).
As stated in the catalogue, two horizontal shrinkage cracks have been restored (approx. : 20cm).
The leather of the fall-front is later.
This secretaire was probably initially a chiffonnier which has been transformed in the 20th century.
This secretaire has probably been rearranged in the 20th century, especially the drawers.
Chiffonnier : there are four vertical shrinkage cracks alongside to the left side (approx. : 20cm.)
The front panels of the drawers are sun faded and there are some old traces under the handles
There are some minors water stains on some of the drawers, there is a restoration with "gomme-laque" past filling to the left front upper part.
The feet have been extended.
The uprights have been reveneered with a restoration to the back.
Marble : both marbles are yellowish, with cracks on the surface.
There are some minor restorations with past fillings to the secretaire's marble.
