The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L’oeuvre est vendue encadrée. Gouache et peinture dorée sur papier marouflé sur papier fort. Les trous de punaise de l’artiste à chaque coin. Quelques rares piqûres dans le montage. Les résidus d’un adhésif ancien à quatre endroits au revers de la feuille. Quelques rares et minuscules bulles dans les empâtements de la gouache (principalement pigments blanc et orange). Une ou deux lignes d’abrasion de surface dans le quart inférieur gauche. Les pigments sont très forts et frais sur l’ensemble. Selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en très bonne condition générale.

This work is sold framed. Gouache and gold paint on wove paper laid down on card. The artist's tack holes at the four corners. A couple of fox marks on the mounting card. The remnants of old mounting tape in four places at the reverse sheet edges. Very few minute bubbles in the thicker areas of the gouache (mainly the white and orange pigments). One or two line of surface abrasion in the lower left quadrant. The pigments are very strong and very fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing it is our opinion that this work is in a very good condition.
