The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Very good overall condition. There are the inevitable very minor nicks and surface scratches due to age, use and handling. The metal mounts are tarnished and possibly made of silver. The inside metal rasp is rusty. As stated in the catalogue, there is a plastic label inside with the inventory number 'DB.9.G'. Very interesting object with a rare dual function.
