The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

(I) L’oeuvre est vendue encadrée. Huile sur toile. L’œuvre est non rentoilée. Elle est vernie. Abrasion due aux frottements des bords associée à de l’usure par endroits. Un léger enfoncement vers le centre du bord supérieur. Un petit manque de peinture vers le coin inférieur gauche. De très fines craquelures dans les pigments vert olive vers le centre du bord droit. Une éraflure verticale vers le centre de l’extrémité du bord droit. Examiné à la lampe à ultra-violets : pas de retouche apparente. Selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bonne condition générale.

(II) L’oeuvre est vendue encadrée. Huile sur toile. L’œuvre est non rentoilée. Elle n'est pas vernie. Abrasion due aux frottements des bords associée à de l’usure par endroits. Quelques zones d'écaillage -certaines avec des manques de peinture associés- dans l'arrière-plan près de la carafe et vers le centre du bord gauche, sur le livre rouge, sur le bocal vert et dans le coin inférieur droit. Examiné à la lampe à ultra-violets : pas de retouche apparente.

(I) This work is sold framed. Oil on canvas. Not lined. Varnished. Some frame abrasion with associated rubbing in places. A soft dent towards the centre of the upper edge. A small paint loss at the lower left corner. Some hairline craquelure in the olive green pigment towards the centre of the right edge. Vertical scratch towards the centre of the extreme right edge. Examined on the UV nothing show under UV light. Subject to the foregoing it is our opinion that this work is in a good condition.

(II) This work is sold framed. Oil on canvas. Not lined. Not varnished. Some frame abrasion with associated rubbing in places. Some areas of flaking - some with associated paint losses- in the background around the jug and towards the centre of the left edge, on the red book, on the green jar and in the lower right corner. Examined on the UV light nothing shows under the UV light.
