L'examen sous lumière UV révèle une petite retouche au niveau du cou du personnage endormi. Sinon, l'œuvre semble intacte.

The painting is executed on panel, made up of a single board and beveled to each edge.
It presents very well in natural light, with the fluidity of the paint and the depth of colour well preserved. The whole is under a thick, shiny varnish.
Examination under UV light revels a small spot of retouching to the sleeping figure's neck. Otherwise the work appears untouched.
