Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage. La toile est maintenue sous une tension correcte sur un châssis à clés. L'ensemble est stable.

A l'oeil nu, le tableau a préservé de jolis détails dans les drapés et costumes. Le tableau présente des griffures horizontales le long des bords gauche et droit, associées à quelques manques le long du bord gauche. On constate également des traces obliques parallèles s'étendant le long du bord droit de la composition sur approx. 5 cm. L'une de ces traces se poursuit vers le centre de la composition. Le tableau se présente sous un réseau de craquelures, plus prononcé dans les architectures.
Le tableau est encrassé et pourrait bénéficier d'un nettoyage.

Le tableau est sous un vernis épais qui empêche un examen approfondi du tableau. On devine néanmoins une restauration horizontale à gauche des pieds du personnage assis vu de dos.

The canvas has been subject to relining, it is held under correct tension on a keyed stretcher and remains stable.

The painting has preserved some lovely details in the drapery and costumes. The painting has some horizontal scratches along the left and right edges, along with some losses along the left edge, likely the result o frame abrasion. There are some oblique marks extending along the right edge of the composition for approximately 5 cm. One of these marks continues towards the center of the composition. There is a fine network of craquelure, which is more pronounced in the architectural elements. The paint surface is dirty and would benefit from cleaning.

The painting is covered with a thick varnish that prevents a thorough examination of the painting. However, a small zone of restoration can be seen to the left of the feet of the seated figure with their back to the viewer.
