Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage. Il est sur un châssis à clefs. Le tableau possède une jolie matière, vibrante.

A l’œil nu, on constate deux anciennes retouches ayant légèrement viré. L’une dans le ciel en haut à droite au dessus de la fumée d’un bateau et l’autre dans l’épaule droite de la femme assise.
On constate une griffure dans le manteau noir de cette même femme.
Le tableau possède un vernis légèrement blanchâtre qui bénéficierait d’un léger nettoyage.

A l’UV, on constate les reprises précédemment évoquées ainsi que quelques reprises ponctuelles dans le manteau noir.

The canvas has been relined, it is held under tension on a keyed stretcher and remains stable. The painting has a beautiful, vibrant texture.

In natural light two small areas of retouching can be seen, which have discoloured with age. One is in the sky at the top right above the smoke from a boat, and the other is on the right shoulder of the seated woman. There is a scratch on the black coat of the same woman. The painting has a slightly blanched varnish that would benefit from a light cleaning.

Under UV light, the aforementioned retouching can be seen, as well as a few isolated retouches on the black coat.
