Le tableau est sur sa toile d’origine et porte le cachet du fabriquant de toile Hardy. Il est sur un châssis à clefs. La tension de la toile est correcte.

Le tableau possède de jolis tons, vifs. On constate à l'œil nu une ancienne restauration dans le ciel en haut à droite et le bleu du ciel du coin supérieur droit semble repris.
Le tableau est encrassé et pourrait bénéficier d'un nettoyage. Son vernis est également un peu blanchâtre.

A l'UV, le tableau est sous un vernis encrassé qui ne permet pas de distinguer des retouches anciennes. On ne constate pas de retouches récentes à l'UV.

The canvas is unlined and bears the stamp of the canvas manufacturer Hardy. It is mounted on a keyed stretcher, and is held under correct tension.

The painting has retained lovely, vibrant tones. In natural light, an old restoration can be seen in the sky at the upper right, and the blue of the sky in the upper right corner appears to have been retouched. The painting is dirty and would benefit from cleaning. There has been some slight blanching to the varnish.

The dirty varnish prohibits a proper examination under UV; there does not appear to be any recent restoration.
