The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The washer:
A chip to the mouth rim.
Spur marks under the base.
Areas of the base have been ground down.
A few surface nicks to a kiln grit adhesion in the well.
Some minute nicks to the mouth rim, a few underglaze small chips to the mouth rim.
The libation cup:
An old small chip and some old nicks under to the foot rim.
A few very small chips / nicks to the mouth rim.
An approx. 5 cm. long hairline going down from the mouth rim, with associated minute losses along the crack line.
Some deep scratches.
Both with general age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
