- Overall condition good. A few scratches throughout. Some black spots to the Roman numeral panels. Secure lid. Gross weight: 59 gr. - O.Bachet & A. Cartier, 2020, expertise no. BC2003-53: Art Deco miniature 'triptyque' clock with folding dial, Cartier Paris for New York stock, circa 1930. Particularity: these miniature timepieces were great travel and purse watches, called 'triptyque' - like the Old Master paintings with a painting on either side of the center panel - and coming in various versions. The miniature aspect is emphasized with the pivoting strut contained in the base which permitted them to stand upright. Pressing the winder releases the doors to see the dial. - Signed Cartier France, with maker's mark for Georges Thibault, no. 882. Movement signed E. W. C. Co. France, no. 2026. - Movement 18 jewels. - Engraved 'E.R.R.M' on the top of the clock and on the top of the fitted case. - The dial in good condition, with traces if dust and some spotting. - Movement ticking at time of cataloguing, working order and timekeeping cannot be guaranteed at time of purchase. - Please see Important Notice at the back of the catalogue for all clocks and watches.
