- Overall condition good. Some traces of tarnish to the gold, a few scratches. Crystal serviced. With winding key. Gross weight: 116 gr. - O.Bachet & A. Cartier, 2020, expertise no. BC2003-61: Art Deco 'Mignonette' desk clock, Cartier Paris for New York stock, circa 1920. Particularity: one of the least three examples, this clock is an Art Deco version of the early 'Mignonette' size of the enamelled 'cube' desk clocks with nephrite replacing the agate for the base and Persian motifs enamelled on the case. The blue guilloché enamel dial replaces the white enamel dial of the earlier models and adds more colour in a period when colour predominated in the design of objects and jewellery. Made in Paris and then sent to New York where the clock was sold. - Unsigned, nos. 1226 450. Movement signed E. W. C. Co.
